Whether you are landing in Phoenix, returning your rental car, or have a few hours before your flight home, you do not have to settle for airport food. Several of the best restaurants near Phoenix airport are only a short drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The options include an award-winning Native American restaurant, casual breakfast and lunch spots, and one of my favorite Italian restaurants. These are the restaurants near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport I would recommend when you want one last good meal before your trip ends.
The Henry is another good option for brunch or lunch near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. The atmosphere was lively, the service was excellent, and the menu had plenty of choices that worked well for either meal.
Popular dishes include the Short Rib Potstickers, Eggs Benedict, and Umami Brussels Sprouts. I would still choose La Grande Orange when I want a more relaxed breakfast with coffee, pastries, and time to browse the market, but The Henry is a strong choice when you want a busier brunch atmosphere and a larger sit-down menu.
La Grande Orange is one of my favorite choices for breakfast near Phoenix airport.
I loved the crepes, but the restaurant itself is what makes it especially convenient for travelers. It is also a bakery, coffee shop, and neighborhood market, so you can have breakfast and pick up coffee or something for later in the same stop.
Take a few minutes to browse the market after you eat. I would allow about an hour rather than trying to rush through breakfast immediately before your flight.

If I could recommend only one lunch near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, it would probably be Postino.
The restaurant is best known for its bruschetta boards, which allow you to choose several toppings and share different combinations. This makes it a good option for couples or groups who want to sample more than one thing without ordering several full entrées.
Do not skip the Hot Donut Dots for dessert. They were easily one of the most memorable parts of the meal.

Fry Bread House is my top recommendation when you want food near Phoenix airport that feels specific to Arizona rather than something you could order anywhere.
This James Beard Award-winning restaurant serves Native American fry bread in a casual, order-at-the-register setting. I ordered the Ultimate Taco Fry Bread, swapped the standard meat for birria, added cilantro, and ordered birria sauce on the side.
It was one of my favorite meals from the entire trip.

Quiessence is best when you want dinner to be the main event. Located at The Farm at South Mountain, it offers seasonal three-, four-, and five-course tasting menus that can take more than two hours.
I would save it for a special occasion or your final night in Phoenix when your flight is not until the next day.

Phoenix has enough good restaurants near Sky Harbor that your last meal does not have to come from the terminal. Most of these restaurants are approximately a 10- to 20-minute drive from the airport, depending on traffic.
Leaving the airport makes the most sense after landing or when you have plenty of time before your flight. I would not attempt it during a short layover. Choose based on how much time you realistically have, and leave more room in your schedule than you think you need for traffic, rental car returns, luggage, and security.

It’s a small town just outside Kaiserslautern. Lunch at Putai inside the historic Das Blaue Haus means crispy chicken in coconut curry and spring rolls with homemade sweet chili sauce, then a slow walk past the old church and quiet streets. The Palatinate Forest and Humberg Tower views are close by. If you want a packed itinerary this isn’t your town, but if you like good food and nowhere to be, you’ll love it.

At La Grande Orange, order the crepes first, they’re the thing I’d go back for. The chicken salad sandwich is perfect if someone wants lunch while you’re still on breakfast, and the red velvet mini cupcake and a chai latte round it out. The sea salt chocolate chip cookie is heartier than gooey, so it’s best for dunkers. It’s counter service with easy parking, and the market has quirky gifts you won’t find elsewhere. Leave time to browse, because you’ll stay longer than planned.
