If youβre looking for a Mister 01 South Beach review before deciding where to eat, the one thing you should know is this: they put coffee on pizza.
Yes. Coffee pizza.
And yes, it actually works.
Mister 01 has built a loyal following in Miami thanks to its creative star-shaped pizzas, thin crispy crust, and high-quality ingredients. The South Beach location is casual, small, and entirely focused on the food. No gimmicks, no over-the-top dΓ©cor β just really good pizza that people line up for.
If youβre planning a Miami trip and mapping out where to eat around the beach, this stop fits perfectly into a broader South Beach food crawl. You can see more nearby restaurants in my guide to Where to Eat in South Beach Miami: A Local Food Guide.
If you're planning to stay nearby, I usually start by browsing hotels near South Beach on Booking.com so everything is within walking distance. South Beach traffic can be chaotic, and being able to walk to dinner is always a win.

The South Beach location is very small and very casual. This isnβt a big sit-down restaurant with tons of space. Tables fill up quickly, and itβs walk-in only, so you canβt reserve ahead of time.
My recommendation: arrive right when they open if you want a table.
If you come during peak dinner hours, expect a wait. The restaurant is popular and the space is limited. But honestly, the pizza is worth it.
The vibe is relaxed and easy. Nothing fancy. Just really really good pizza. And in a neighborhood full of expensive restaurants trying very hard to impress you, that simplicity is refreshing.

One of the reasons the pizza at Mister 01 stands out is the level of care that goes into it.
The restaurant was created by Italian chef Renato Viola, who grew up in Southern Italy and started working with pizza chefs when he was just 11 years old. Over the years he won multiple pizza competitions across Italy and Europe before eventually moving to Miami Beach.
In fact, he came to the United States on an O-1 visa, which is reserved for people with βextraordinary abilityβ in their field. In his case, that field is pizza. And once you try it, that story makes a lot more sense.
The dough at Mister 01 ferments for at least 72 hours, which is part of what gives the crust its light, airy texture. They also focus heavily on high-quality ingredients, many of which are imported directly from Italy.
Itβs a simple formula β great dough, great ingredients, and consistency β but itβs done really well.

The menu has a lot of great options, but the star-shaped pizzas are what theyβre famous for.
The crust is folded into points that are filled with ricotta, which makes every slice a little extra indulgent.
When we went, we ordered half Star Luca and half Star Beckham so we could try more of the menu. If youβre like me and always want to try everything, this is a great option.
Both pizzas were excellent.

The most famous pizza here is the Coffee Paolo, which sounds strange at first but works surprisingly well.
It combines tomato sauce, mozzarella, honey, spicy salami, and a light coffee powder dusting.
Sweet, salty, slightly spicy, and just a hint of coffee.
It sounds like it shouldnβt work.
But it absolutely does.
Itβs one of those dishes youβll still be talking about later.
We didnβt just stop at pizza.
We also ordered:
β’ Burrata with Italian balsamic
β’ A calzone
β’ Nutella pizza for dessert
The burrata is a great starter and pairs well with the pizzas.
The calzone is huge and definitely shareable.
And the Nutella pizza is the perfect way to end the meal if you want something sweet. At that point youβre already committed to the pizza theme, so dessert pizza just feels like the logical next step.

The pizzas are definitely shareable.
Theyβre large enough for two people to split depending on how hungry you are.
Most pizzas run around $20, which honestly feels very reasonable for South Beach.
Considering some restaurants in the area charge that much for a cocktail, paying $20 for a full pizza feels like a bargain. And after you taste this pizza you will gladly pay $20 again and again.
People come here for two reasons: the creativity and the quality.
The crust is crispy, the ingredients taste fresh, and the star-shaped pizzas make the whole experience a little different from your typical pizza spot.
Itβs also the kind of place where you see both locals and tourists eating together, which is usually a good sign.
If youβre exploring more Italian food while youβre in Miami Beach, you should also see my full review of Macchialina Miami Beach, which is a completely different experience but one of the best Italian dinners in the area.
Pizza one night, handmade pasta the next. Balance.

If youβre a pizza lover, Mister 01 also offers something beyond just eating the food.
They host a pizza-making class through the Mister O1 Pizza School where you can learn how to make their pizzas from scratch.
During the class youβll learn how they prepare the dough, stretch the pizza, and assemble the ingredients before baking it.
Itβs a hands-on experience and a really fun activity if youβre visiting Miami and want something a little different to do. If you want to turn dinner into an activity, you can find the Mister O1 pizza-making class here.
Plus, you get to eat the pizza you make.
Which is obviously the best part.
If youβre flying into Miami for a trip that includes South Beach, itβs worth paying attention to your arrival time. Getting in earlier in the day makes it a lot easier to actually enjoy dinner instead of landing late and scrambling to find food. I usually compare flights on Skyscanner first so I can see which airlines arrive early enough to make a place like Mister 01 an easy first-night dinner instead of a βmaybe tomorrowβ plan.

A few quick things to know before visiting:
β’ The South Beach location is small
β’ It is walk-in only
β’ Expect a wait during busy dinner hours
β’ Try to arrive when they open if you want a table quickly

Absolutely.
If Iβm in South Beach and craving pizza, this is one of the first places I think about.
Itβs casual, the food is consistently good, and the coffee pizza alone is worth trying at least once but trust me you'll get it again!
Honestly, Iβd go back anytime Iβm in South Beach.

The tulip fields in the Netherlands look exactly like the photos, except the photos donβt capture how massive the color blocks actually are stretching across the countryside. Or the windmills. Or the sheep randomly standing in the middle of everything like they donβt know theyβre in the most photogenic country on earth.
The honest caveat: tulip season moves fast, the fields rotate every year, and peak bloom is not a guarantee, it depends on the weather, the harvest schedule, and a little bit of luck. But thatβs also part of what makes it feel less like a tourist attraction and more like something you actually found.

Amsterdam has a way of making you feel like you need to see everything, and then rewarding you most when you slow down anyway. The museums and canal cruises are worth it, but so is just wandering neighborhoods, eating whatever looks good, and sitting along the canals with a grilled cheese and nowhere to be.

10 stops. One very full day. Zero regrets. Amsterdam has one of the best food scenes Iβve experienced anywhere in Europe, but the honest caveat is that some of the viral spots come with lines that will genuinely test your character. I skipped a few. I regret nothing.
Hereβs what actually made the cut on my self-guided Amsterdam food tour:
Fresh stroopwafels at Hans Egstorf: made right in front of you, warm caramel, no line. This one won.
Lourens cookie croissant: flaky outside, gooey chocolate inside. Did not share.
CafΓ© Winkel 43 apple pie: one of the rare viral places that fully lives up to the hype.
Davieβs Amsterdam for the Lelie sandwich: pastrami, pickles, marbled bread. Deceptively simple. Absolutely excellent.
De Kaaskamer to end the day: 400+ cheeses, grilled cheese with what they call ketchup (itβs not ketchup, and itβs better), and bunker cheese aged in underground military bunkers.
The full route covers 10 stops through Jordaan, the 9 Streets, the canal district, and the flower market area with a Google Map included so you can just follow along.

Thereβs a version of Gatlinburg thatβs all fudge shops and tourist crowds, and then thereβs the version that actually makes you want to come back.
Hereβs everything worth doing downtown, in the order Iβd do it: ποΈ
β¨ Start at @gatlinburgskypark before the crowds hit
β¨ Walk the strip mid-morning when itβs still manageable
β¨ @googooclusters stop (see my post from Tuesday: donβt skip it)
β¨ Dinner at one of the local spots off the main drag
β¨ Wander back out at night when the lights are on and it gets actually pretty
This isnβt your overscheduled Smoky Mountain itinerary. Itβs more of a βhereβs what Iβd actually do if I had one solid dayβ kind of list.

If someone told me Iβd spend five hours at SkyPark, I would not have believed them. And yet. π
Gatlinburg SkyPark sits above the strip and itβs one of those places that looks like a quick stop on paper and turns into most of your afternoon. The SkyBridge alone is worth it β longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America, and yes, you will look down.
β¨ SkyBridge (longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America)
β¨ SkyLift ride up with views of the Smokies
β¨ Walking trails with mountain views in every direction
β¨ Way less crowded than downtown
Fair warning: if heights genuinely freak you out, the bridge might not be your thing. The rest of the park is still 100% worth it. Full guide with tickets, tips, and what to skip linked in bio. π
