Day 2, Puerto Plata… waterfalls, city walks, and zero rush.🌴
Port day in Puerto Plata and we truly packed it in waterfalls, wandering through town, and actually having time to explore. One thing @virginvoyages does so well? Long port days. No sprinting back to the ship. No watching the clock all day.
Dinner at Extra Virgin tonight (yes, included). Fresh pasta, made to order, a menu that feels like a real restaurant not cruise food. No constant upsells. No nickel-and-diming. Dining, drinks, Wi-Fi… it’s all just handled.
You really start to see what you’re paying for and what you’re not. Ending the night with Scarlet Night! Full day out. Full night in. This is the sweet spot.✨

Boise in one day? I say… absolutely. ✨
For a compact, well-rounded visit, Boise truly delivers. You can eat incredibly well, wander downtown on foot, stumble upon public art, cruise the river, and still have time to sit down for a solid dinner, all without feeling rushed or over planned.
It’s the kind of city that’s easy to settle into… even if you’re just passing through. And honestly? That’s what makes it so special.

Kirkham Hot Springs is easily one of the most talked-about hot springs near Boise and after visiting, I get the hype. 😍
Waterfalls cascading over soaking pools, mountain views, and some of the easiest access you’ll find in Idaho make this spot hard to beat. Plus, there’s more variety here than most natural hot springs nearby.
But here’s the honest part: it’s popular. Like… very popular. Expect crowds, especially on weekends.
