If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful breakfast in South Beach… this is not it.
This Bacon Bitch Miami review starts with a warning: the moment you walk in, someone will greet you with “Hey Bitch!”.
Yes, really.
The first time it happened, it caught me off guard for about half a second — and then I laughed. Once you see the restaurant, it completely fits. It’s not rude. It’s more of a “hey girl” energy than anything else.

Add bacon, fresh squeezed orange juice, Cardi B playing in the background, and strangers singing at their tables before 10am and you’ll understand what you’re walking into.
We went as a couple (yes, my husband survived), and it felt funny and playful — not aggressive. The whole place runs on organized chaos. The music is loud — more day club than coffee shop — but the staff is efficient and the tables move quickly.
Some tables were singing along. A few women got up and started dancing. Everyone around us was fully committed to their breakfast. It’s a brunch party.
If you’re planning a full South Beach trip, check out my guide to One Week in South Beach: The Ultimate 7-Day Miami Itinerary for more restaurants and things to do while you’re here.
If you’re flying into Miami for the weekend, I usually compare flights on Skyscanner first so I can arrive early enough to actually enjoy day one instead of rolling in halfway through brunch.

We’ve been a few times, usually around 11am–12pm, and that’s when the place is already fully in party mode.
Reservations help. We made them each time and didn’t have to wait, which I’d recommend because it gets busy quickly.
The South Beach location is outdoor seating only, but it’s covered so you’re shaded and comfortable. It still feels very Miami, just without the melting-in-the-sun part. The music is loud. Not background music. Think day-club energy at brunch. If you’re hoping for quiet conversation over coffee, this isn’t that kind of place.
But despite how chaotic it looks, the restaurant runs smoothly. The staff keeps things moving, tables turn quickly, and it feels organized even with the music blasting and people dancing between bites of pancakes.
Service wasn’t fast, but it wasn’t slow either. It felt very “I’m at the beach and have no worries.” No one is rushing you out the door, but you’re also not sitting there wondering if your order disappeared.
Now pricing.
We don’t drink, which definitely kept our total lower. We also tend to order more food than most people (no regrets), and our total ended up around $50.
If you’re trying to budget ahead:
You could probably get out around $30 if you’re sharing or ordering lightly.
More realistically, expect about $40–$50 depending on how much you order.
It’s not cheap-fast-food breakfast, but for South Beach the portions and overall experience make sense.

We’ve been more than once, so we’ve tried a pretty good range of the menu.
The first visit was more classic breakfast sandwiches. The second time we went bigger — adding chicken and waffles and one of their pancake specials to the table.
Yes, we over-order.
No regrets.
If you like a croissant breakfast sandwich, this one is solid. It’s buttery, cheesy, and very bacon-heavy in the best possible way.
The King’s Hawaiian bun gives it a slightly sweet, soft texture that works really well with the salty bacon and egg.
It’s messy. You will absolutely need napkins. Worth it.
This is not a light breakfast.
You’re getting fried chicken breast, bacon, a sunny side up egg, and hot honey on top. Sweet, salty, crispy — and a little chaotic, which honestly matches the restaurant perfectly.

These were a special when we went, and they were genuinely good. Sweet but balanced, not just sugar piled on for the sake of sugar.
The portions are large. You will be full when you leave. This is not a “small bite” kind of brunch.
Would I reorder everything?
Yes.
That said, my toxic trait is that I always want to try something new. So even if something is incredible, I’m probably ordering something different next time. But nothing we’ve had here has disappointed.
If you’re building out your Miami food list, you can also see my Sanguich Downtown Miami Review for another spot where the food actually lives up to the hype.
When we’ve gone, the crowd has mostly been tourists, probably ages 21–50. Lots of girls trips, birthday brunches, and a few bachelorette parties sprinkled in.
It’s definitely Instagram-friendly. Fun décor, big plates of food, and drinks that look like they belong in a music video.
The music is loud, people are singing along to songs, and sometimes tables actually start dancing. It feels more like a brunch party than a traditional breakfast.
And honestly, that’s exactly what most people are coming for. But here’s the part that surprised me the first time — the food is actually good.
It would be easy for a place like this to rely entirely on the music and the greeting to carry the experience. But the sandwiches are solid, the portions are generous, and the pancakes weren’t just cute for photos — they actually tasted good.
If it was all noise and no flavor, I wouldn’t go back.
The fact that it’s fun and the food holds up is what makes it work.

This is definitely an adult-friendly restaurant.
I would not bring kids here. The language, the music, and the overall energy aren’t really meant for a quiet family breakfast.
Earlier is probably the best time to go. We’ve gone around 11–12, which is already lively, but I imagine it’s slightly calmer earlier in the morning. Then again, most people in Miami aren’t fully functioning before 10am anyway.
We’ve walked from our hotel once and Ubered the other time. It’s right in the middle of South Beach, so parking isn’t something I’d want to deal with.
If you’re staying nearby, walking or grabbing a quick ride is the easiest option. But if you’re planning to explore more of Miami while you’re here, having a car can make things a lot easier. I look at options through Discover Cars so I can see different pickup locations and prices in one place.
And if you’re still figuring out where to stay, look for hotels near South Beach so breakfast spots like Bacon Bitch are an easy walk instead of a morning Uber.
Dress code is very relaxed. You don’t need to dress up. As long as you’re wearing shoes and a cover-up over a swimsuit, you’ll be fine.
Would I go again?
Yes.
With a girls group or with my husband. It works surprisingly well for both.

Bacon Bitch is wild… but the food is actually really good, and that’s the difference.
It’s definitely not for everyone. If you want quiet coffee-shop energy and peaceful conversation, this probably isn’t your place. But if you’re on a girls trip, celebrating something, or just want a brunch that feels very Miami, it works.
Would I go back just for the vibe? No. Food matters too much to me for that.
Would I go back just for the food if the music disappeared? Honestly… probably.
But the combination of both is what makes it fun. The restaurant fully commits to the energy — loud music, playful staff, dancing tables — and then backs it up with solid breakfast food, which is exactly why I keep going back.

I walked down to the beach and immediately noticed how calm the water was. 🐚
It sits in a small cove, so there’s really no waves pushing in. You just walk right in without thinking about it. I grabbed my snorkel (they actually rent them for free at the resort, which I didn’t expect) and went out near the pier and stayed way longer than I planned, because the water was that clear.
Honest caveat: if you need a lot of energy and activity at a beach, this probably isn’t it. It’s quiet, it’s calm, and you’re mostly just... sitting there. Which for me was exactly the point.☀️

Dinner at Baoase in Curaçao isn’t just a restaurant, you’re walking into a full resort setting where everything feels intentional. The table is right by the water, the food is French-inspired with tropical and Asian flavors woven in, and the whole thing moves slowly in the best way. We sat there for hours and didn’t want it to end.
✨ Culinary Beach Restaurant, oceanside tables, candlelit ambiance
✨ French-inspired menu with tropical and Asian influences
✨ Service that’s attentive without being over the top
✨ The kind of dinner you’re still thinking about days later
Fair warning: this isn’t a casual grab-a-table kind of spot. You’re making a reservation, thinking through your outfit, and blocking off the whole evening and it’s worth every bit of that.
If you’re celebrating something or just want one dinner that feels a little extra, this is where to do it. Full Baoase resort review linked in bio. 🔗
Curaçao has the beaches everyone talks about, and then it has these. The spots that made this trip actually feel like mine weren’t on any resort map. I found them by renting a car, asking locals, and just following what looked good.
✨ Playa Lagun: a calm little cove where the water does all the work
✨ Playa Kalki: rocky entry, but the snorkeling right off shore is worth it
✨ Playa Jeremi: no rentals, no crowds, no setup. Just the beach
✨ Fort Nassau: watched the sun go down over Willemstad and stayed for dinner
✨ Hofi Cas Cora: breakfast on an actual farm and the freshest food of the whole trip
✨ Willemstad Street Party: I had no idea Thursday nights turned into that. Just followed the music.
✨ Playa Forti: cliff jumping and amazing food, talk about dinner and a show!
Honest caveat: if you need everything planned and structured, a few of these will feel a little too unpolished. But if you like the kind of trip where the best parts are the ones you stumble into, this is exactly that.

Here’s the thing about Curaçao that nobody talks about enough there’s really no bad time to go. 🌤️ Outside the hurricane belt. Mid-80s nearly every day of the year. Colorful buildings no matter what month it is.
But there IS a difference between going in peak season vs. shoulder season, and it shows up in your wallet, your beach chair availability, and how long you’re waiting for a table at dinner.
Full breakdown of every season, what to expect, and when I’d personally go linked in bio.
I wasn’t expecting much. I just needed dinner. 🍽️ Kome ended up being one of the best meals of the entire trip.
Wood-fired everything. A menu that actually makes you read it twice. A vibe in Pietermaai that feels nothing like a tourist restaurant and everything like somewhere locals actually go. I didn’t rush. I didn’t check my phone. I just ate, start to finish, and enjoyed every single second of it.
If you’re in Curaçao and you only have one nice dinner make it this one.
