If I had to send someone to one dinner in Curaçao, this MosaCaña Curaçao review would be the one I point them to first. It ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip, and it felt fun from the second we sat down. This is the spot where you go in planning to order a few things and then immediately add more.
I made a reservation at MosaCaña and showed up already expecting to order a lot (I know myself). We sat out on the terrace in Pietermaai, and I immediately noticed how open and colorful it was—it had more of a Spanish-style vibe with everything spread out and lively, but not overwhelming.
I started looking at the menu and saw it was built around shared plates—crudos, tacos, buns, and starters—and that matched how I wanted to eat anyway. I told myself we’d try a mix and just keep adding as we went (that lasted about two minutes).
If you’re planning your nights out, this fits right into a Willemstad evening—check out my guide on Where to Eat in Willemstad Curaçao to map out more spots like this.

We sat inside and I could tell right away this wasn’t going to be a quiet dinner, but it still felt like a nice dinner at the same time. It was upbeat and social, a little more playful than some of the other other spots on the island.
This worked really well for a date night, dinner with friends, or just a night where you want dinner to feel like part of the plan instead of something you rush through.

We went all in on shared plates and tried a mix of everything. We started with the burrata with cantaloupe, prosciutto, and basil oil, and the breaded curry tempura cauliflower with sweet chili soy sauce.
Then we added the bao buns with braised beef, pickled daikon and carrot, and cucumber kimchi, along with the sous vide baby back ribs with sambal rum glaze and crispy onions.
And we finished with the coconut tiramisu with coconut ice cream and passionfruit glaze.
That’s exactly how I’d order here again—variety makes this menu work.
Save this for later on Pinterest so you don’t forget it.

I started with the burrata and went straight for the center. It had that creamy texture you want, and the cantaloupe and prosciutto balanced it out with sweet and salty at the same time. The basil oil tied everything together so it didn’t feel too heavy. I’d order that again without thinking.
I grabbed a piece of the breaded curry tempura cauliflower next, and it came out hot and crispy. The sweet chili soy sauce coated it just enough to make it sticky in a good way, and I kept going back for another piece. It had a little heat and curry flavor, but nothing overwhelming.
I picked up one of the bao buns and accepted that it was going to be messy. The braised beef was rich and tender, and the pickled vegetables and cucumber kimchi cut through it with crunch and brightness. That contrast is what made it work.
Baby back ribs were next, and that’s the one that stood out the most. They came out glossy and sticky with that sambal rum glaze, and the flavor hit right away—sweet with a little heat. The crispy onions on top added just enough texture. This is the dish I’d go back for first.
We finished with the coconut tiramisu and didn’t expect it to be that good. It had that creamy, chilled texture you want, but the coconut and passionfruit made it feel lighter and more tropical. The coconut ice cream melted into everything, and I just kept going until it was gone. I guess you could say it was tira-miss-you later 🤣.

I looked back at the menu after we finished and saw a few things I’d try next time. The tuna ceviche with lychee leche de tigre, grapefruit, and red chili stood out, along with the shrimp aguachile negro with mango, cucumber, and avocado. The soft shell crab tacos and skirt steak tacos also looked strong, and I’d add the crispy calamari to that list.
These all follow the same pattern—bright, bold, layered flavors that are made to share.

I skipped cocktails, but it was obvious the bar is a big part of the experience. Rum and agave-based drinks show up everywhere on the menu, and people around us were ordering them nonstop.
If you’re into cocktails, this is where you’d try a few.

I looked at the bill at the end and saw how quickly shared plates add up when you keep ordering. It’s not a cheap dinner, but it also didn’t feel overpriced for what we got.
The quality, creativity, and overall experience matched it. And let’s be honest—when it comes to food, money is no object (my credit card may disagree).
I stayed in town, so getting here was simple, but if you’re moving around the island, having a car makes a big difference. I booked through here and used it the whole trip to bounce between restaurants and beaches.
If you’re staying nearby, you can also look at options like Boutique hotel stays in Pietermaai here so you’re within walking distance of spots like this.

I’d pick MosaCaña when I want dinner to feel like a full night out. The atmosphere adds to it, the menu keeps things interesting, and it’s very easy to keep ordering more.
I’d go back just to work through the rest of the menu.
If you’re planning out your nights, this fits really well into a full week—check out my Curaçao 7 Day Itinerary: How to Spend One Week in Curaçao to see how I’d space everything out.

I walked down to the beach and immediately noticed how calm the water was. 🐚
It sits in a small cove, so there’s really no waves pushing in. You just walk right in without thinking about it. I grabbed my snorkel (they actually rent them for free at the resort, which I didn’t expect) and went out near the pier and stayed way longer than I planned, because the water was that clear.
Honest caveat: if you need a lot of energy and activity at a beach, this probably isn’t it. It’s quiet, it’s calm, and you’re mostly just... sitting there. Which for me was exactly the point.☀️

Dinner at Baoase in Curaçao isn’t just a restaurant, you’re walking into a full resort setting where everything feels intentional. The table is right by the water, the food is French-inspired with tropical and Asian flavors woven in, and the whole thing moves slowly in the best way. We sat there for hours and didn’t want it to end.
✨ Culinary Beach Restaurant, oceanside tables, candlelit ambiance
✨ French-inspired menu with tropical and Asian influences
✨ Service that’s attentive without being over the top
✨ The kind of dinner you’re still thinking about days later
Fair warning: this isn’t a casual grab-a-table kind of spot. You’re making a reservation, thinking through your outfit, and blocking off the whole evening and it’s worth every bit of that.
If you’re celebrating something or just want one dinner that feels a little extra, this is where to do it. Full Baoase resort review linked in bio. 🔗
Curaçao has the beaches everyone talks about, and then it has these. The spots that made this trip actually feel like mine weren’t on any resort map. I found them by renting a car, asking locals, and just following what looked good.
✨ Playa Lagun: a calm little cove where the water does all the work
✨ Playa Kalki: rocky entry, but the snorkeling right off shore is worth it
✨ Playa Jeremi: no rentals, no crowds, no setup. Just the beach
✨ Fort Nassau: watched the sun go down over Willemstad and stayed for dinner
✨ Hofi Cas Cora: breakfast on an actual farm and the freshest food of the whole trip
✨ Willemstad Street Party: I had no idea Thursday nights turned into that. Just followed the music.
✨ Playa Forti: cliff jumping and amazing food, talk about dinner and a show!
Honest caveat: if you need everything planned and structured, a few of these will feel a little too unpolished. But if you like the kind of trip where the best parts are the ones you stumble into, this is exactly that.

Here’s the thing about Curaçao that nobody talks about enough there’s really no bad time to go. 🌤️ Outside the hurricane belt. Mid-80s nearly every day of the year. Colorful buildings no matter what month it is.
But there IS a difference between going in peak season vs. shoulder season, and it shows up in your wallet, your beach chair availability, and how long you’re waiting for a table at dinner.
Full breakdown of every season, what to expect, and when I’d personally go linked in bio.
I wasn’t expecting much. I just needed dinner. 🍽️ Kome ended up being one of the best meals of the entire trip.
Wood-fired everything. A menu that actually makes you read it twice. A vibe in Pietermaai that feels nothing like a tourist restaurant and everything like somewhere locals actually go. I didn’t rush. I didn’t check my phone. I just ate, start to finish, and enjoyed every single second of it.
If you’re in Curaçao and you only have one nice dinner make it this one.
