Beaches are great, but letβs be honestβhalf the reason we travel is for the food. If youβre hunting for the best lunch in Antigua, the islandβs daytime dining scene is all about eating with a view. While service runs on Caribbean time (translation: slower than your weekday lunch break), the food is worth the wait. Whether youβre sandy-foot casual or craving a slightly fancier toes-in-the-sand vibe, here are the spots that deliver.
Why go: The view. Period. English Harbour spreads out below you like a postcard, framed by turquoise water and green hills. The breeze carries the smell of smoky barbecue from the grills, and on Sundays, it turns into one of the islandβs best partiesβsteel drums, rum punch, and locals dancing until the sun drops.
What to order: Jerk chicken or BBQ ribs. Nothing fancyβjust bold, spicy, and full of island flavor. Add a side of rice and peas or coleslaw, and youβve got the perfect fuel for a day of exploring.
Nearby: Pair your visit with a morning swim at Galleon Beach or a short hike to the Pillars of Hercules before heading up for lunch. The combination of ocean, adventure, and that unbeatable lookout view is Antigua perfection.

Why go: A casual, no-fuss beach bar that surprises you with seriously good food. Located right on Half Moon Bay, you can wander up straight from the water with salty hair and sandy feet. The vibe is pure vacationβlaid-back music, sea breeze, and friendly locals chatting at the bar.
What to order: The burger with sweet potato fries (my pick) or the chicken wrap (Bradβs voteβit disappeared so fast I barely saw it). Everything is made fresh, and the flavors are as bright as the view.
Nearby: Swim or snorkel first, then try the golden clay from the rocky edges of Half Moon Bay. Locals swear itβs a natural spa maskβsmear it on, dry in the sun, rinse in the sea, and head to lunch glowing like youβve been Photoshopped.
Many of these lunch spots pair perfectly with my Best Beaches in Antiguaβeat, swim, repeat.
Why go: A long-loved local spot perched just above one of Antiguaβs prettiest beaches. Dennisβs is famous for good vibes, friendly staff, and generous pours of rum punch. The ocean practically sparkles below your table, and itβs impossible not to relax here.
What to order: The fresh grilled lobster is the star of the show when itβs in season, but the curry dishes are equally delicious. Itβs hearty, flavorful, and authentically Caribbeanβexactly what you want after a morning in the surf.
Nearby: After swinging like a kid (or influencer) on the famous Ffryes Beach swing, settle in for lunch with your toes in the sand and that unbeatable ocean view.
Why go: Turnerβs is a true island classic. Itβs friendly, unfussy, and perfectly located for a beach day that turns into a long lunch. On clear days, you can see the island of Montserrat off in the distance, adding an extra layer of magic to the view.
What to order: Fresh snapper or conch fritters. The portions are generous, and every plate tastes like it came straight from the sea. Pair it with a cold Wadadli beer or rum punch and call it perfection.
Nearby: Swim at Turnerβs Beachβitβs calm, wide, and perfect for floating lazily before drying off in the sun and strolling a few steps to your table.
Why go: When you want your Antigua lunch to feel like a full-on event, Catherineβs CafΓ© is the move. Itβs elegant but still relaxed, with tables set right in the sand at Pigeon Point Beach. Think French-Caribbean chicβbarefoot dining meets fine wine and linen napkins.
What to order: Anything seafood. The grilled fish, fresh salads, and daily specials are all beautifully plated and perfectly balanced.
Nearby: Snorkel at Galleon Beach or visit historic Nelsonβs Dockyard before refueling here in style. Itβs easy to lose track of time at Catherineβsβand thatβs exactly the point.

Why go: Stylish, modern, and full of color, Anaβs combines a polished aesthetic with a laid-back beach vibe. Itβs right on Dickenson Bay, one of Antiguaβs most famous beaches, making it a great spot to transition from swimming to sipping cocktails without missing a beat.
What to order: The tapas-style starters are fantastic for sharing, and the catch of the day never disappoints.
Nearby: Perfect after paddleboarding or a lazy float in the calm waterβgrab a seat, order a drink, and watch the sunset tint the entire bay pink and gold.
From beach shacks to chic French-Caribbean dining, Antiguaβs lunch scene covers every craving. The trick is leaning into island paceβyour fries might take a while, but your view wonβt get old under that perfect Caribbean sunshine. And really, isnβt that what vacation is all aboutβgood food, slow days, and even better company?

The tulip fields in the Netherlands look exactly like the photos, except the photos donβt capture how massive the color blocks actually are stretching across the countryside. Or the windmills. Or the sheep randomly standing in the middle of everything like they donβt know theyβre in the most photogenic country on earth.
The honest caveat: tulip season moves fast, the fields rotate every year, and peak bloom is not a guarantee, it depends on the weather, the harvest schedule, and a little bit of luck. But thatβs also part of what makes it feel less like a tourist attraction and more like something you actually found.

Amsterdam has a way of making you feel like you need to see everything, and then rewarding you most when you slow down anyway. The museums and canal cruises are worth it, but so is just wandering neighborhoods, eating whatever looks good, and sitting along the canals with a grilled cheese and nowhere to be.

10 stops. One very full day. Zero regrets. Amsterdam has one of the best food scenes Iβve experienced anywhere in Europe, but the honest caveat is that some of the viral spots come with lines that will genuinely test your character. I skipped a few. I regret nothing.
Hereβs what actually made the cut on my self-guided Amsterdam food tour:
Fresh stroopwafels at Hans Egstorf: made right in front of you, warm caramel, no line. This one won.
Lourens cookie croissant: flaky outside, gooey chocolate inside. Did not share.
CafΓ© Winkel 43 apple pie: one of the rare viral places that fully lives up to the hype.
Davieβs Amsterdam for the Lelie sandwich: pastrami, pickles, marbled bread. Deceptively simple. Absolutely excellent.
De Kaaskamer to end the day: 400+ cheeses, grilled cheese with what they call ketchup (itβs not ketchup, and itβs better), and bunker cheese aged in underground military bunkers.
The full route covers 10 stops through Jordaan, the 9 Streets, the canal district, and the flower market area with a Google Map included so you can just follow along.

Thereβs a version of Gatlinburg thatβs all fudge shops and tourist crowds, and then thereβs the version that actually makes you want to come back.
Hereβs everything worth doing downtown, in the order Iβd do it: ποΈ
β¨ Start at @gatlinburgskypark before the crowds hit
β¨ Walk the strip mid-morning when itβs still manageable
β¨ @googooclusters stop (see my post from Tuesday: donβt skip it)
β¨ Dinner at one of the local spots off the main drag
β¨ Wander back out at night when the lights are on and it gets actually pretty
This isnβt your overscheduled Smoky Mountain itinerary. Itβs more of a βhereβs what Iβd actually do if I had one solid dayβ kind of list.

If someone told me Iβd spend five hours at SkyPark, I would not have believed them. And yet. π
Gatlinburg SkyPark sits above the strip and itβs one of those places that looks like a quick stop on paper and turns into most of your afternoon. The SkyBridge alone is worth it β longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America, and yes, you will look down.
β¨ SkyBridge (longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America)
β¨ SkyLift ride up with views of the Smokies
β¨ Walking trails with mountain views in every direction
β¨ Way less crowded than downtown
Fair warning: if heights genuinely freak you out, the bridge might not be your thing. The rest of the park is still 100% worth it. Full guide with tickets, tips, and what to skip linked in bio. π
